Senior Security Engineer, Customer Trust EMEA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Oversee Customer Trust operations throughout the EMEA region

• Address security questionnaires, vendor risk evaluations, and RFIs

• Manage, triage, and address queues for EMEA customer questionnaires

• Collaborate closely with EMEA sales teams

• Comprehend regional compliance obligations, including GDPR, EU data protection, and industry-specific frameworks

• Cultivate trusted relationships with enterprise clients in EMEA

• Deliver technically sound responses to customer security evaluations

• Assist in preserving Smartsheet’s reputation for quick responses and technical expertise in high-value markets

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in customer trust, vendor risk management, security assessments, or customer-facing security roles within SaaS or cloud platform organizations

• Demonstrated experience in completing and addressing customer security questionnaires, vendor evaluations, and RFIs

• In-depth knowledge of GDPR, EU data protection laws, and regional compliance standards

• Familiarity with data residency, data processing agreements, DPIAs, and EU cloud regulatory frameworks

• Proficient understanding of SOC 2, ISO 27001, and compliance standards frequently referenced in EMEA evaluations

• Knowledge of cloud architecture, access controls, encryption, incident response, data management, and security best practices

• A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline, or equivalent hands-on experience

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Skills in queue and project management, including ticketing systems, SLA monitoring, and managing multiple questionnaires and customer engagements

• Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom
