Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Odyssey's security posture and influence the security strategy.

• Develop security programs from inception and promote best practices throughout the technology stack and product offerings.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and address security risks across products and infrastructure.

• Conduct both static and dynamic vulnerability assessments and ensure remediation through resolution.

• Assess security risks in AI systems and data pipelines.

• Utilize AI-driven tools for threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and security operations.

• Oversee and enhance the SOC 2 Type II program.

• Design and implement security measures from the application layer to cloud infrastructure.

• Convert complex security findings into actionable remediation steps for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Review policies, controls, and procedures to adapt to the changing threat landscape.

• Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, code review processes, and internal tools.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a focus on security, cloud security, DevOps, network security, or related fields.

• Strong comprehension of industry standards and compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

• Practical experience in promoting organizational compliance with security and compliance frameworks.

• Proficient in using AI-assisted tools for threat detection, code review, and vulnerability analysis.

• Experience in deploying and managing SAST, DAST, and SCA tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Proven ability to manage security projects from inception to completion while adhering to timelines and budgets.

• Familiarity with penetration testing tools, techniques, and methodologies.

• Knowledge of common vulnerabilities and remediation techniques.

• Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
