Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, test, and consistently enhance cybersecurity solutions, products, and services.

• Integrate cybersecurity technologies within the organization's infrastructure, ensuring secure configurations, optimal performance, and operational resilience.

• Execute, monitor, and sustain security controls, procedures, patches, and system hardening initiatives.

• Evaluate, monitor, and report on the security posture and performance of systems and cybersecurity solutions, while recommending improvements.

• Offer cybersecurity support and technical guidance to users, customers, and internal stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Operations and cross-functional teams on security-related processes and operational activities.

• Create scripts, automation, and software components to bolster cybersecurity operations.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve security-related challenges, ensuring timely remediation.

• Prepare technical documentation and communicate security updates, recommendations, and progress effectively.

• Partner with team members and business stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable, and resilient technology solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.

• At least 10 years of professional experience in software systems security, cybersecurity, and information security practices.

• Proven experience in designing, developing, and delivering comprehensive authentication, authorization, and data protection solutions for enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with SSL/TLS, X.509, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, JWT, AWS KMS, KMIP, and PKCS#11.

• Experience in designing, developing, and securing both on-premises and cloud-based security solutions.

• Expertise in securing complex enterprise environments, including data centers and distributed infrastructures.

• Proficient in applying SSDLC principles and security-by-design methodologies.

• Background in Agile software development environments and modern collaboration and DevSecOps tools.

• Knowledgeable in programming and scripting for cybersecurity solutions.

• Understanding of Linux and Unix operating systems, including secure configuration, administration, and system hardening.

• Acquainted with network architecture and security, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, IPsec, routing protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches.

• Familiar with cryptographic concepts and algorithms, such as AES, GCM, PBKDF2, HMAC, SHA-2, and key management principles.

• Knowledgeable about operating system security, network security, security controls, and contemporary cybersecurity technologies.

• Excellent proficiency in English.
