Information Security, Compliance & IKS Manager – ISO 27001

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and systematically prepare the organization for an Information Security Management System (ISMS) in alignment with ISO/IEC 27001, along with ISO 9001 certification.

• Analyze, evaluate, and enforce regulatory requirements, particularly those stemming from the NIS2 Directive.

• Adhere to and, where applicable, execute measures in compliance with the BSI IT-Grundschutz standard.

• Establish, enhance, and guarantee the annual audit of the Internal Control System (ICS) by an external auditor in accordance with PS 951 Type 2 / ISAE 3402.

• Organize and maintain compliance and security documentation in Confluence and Jira, ensuring audit-ready structures and workflows.

• Collaborate continuously with and provide guidance to all teams on the systematic collection and updating of security and compliance-related information.

• Develop, standardize, and streamline processes related to information security, compliance, and internal controls.

• Prepare, coordinate, and facilitate internal and external audits, including risk assessments and action tracking.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–6 years of professional experience in information security, IT compliance, or ISMS.

• Hands-on experience with ISO/IEC 27001, encompassing implementation, operation, or auditing.

• Solid understanding of regulatory requirements including the NIS2 Directive, GDPR, and IT security mandates.

• Experience in establishing and upholding structured documentation and processes.

• Familiarity with BSI IT-Grundschutz and/or quality management in line with ISO 9001 is advantageous.

• Background in internal audits or supporting certification processes is a plus.

• Basic technical knowledge of cloud and IT architectures.

• Proficiency in Confluence and Jira or similar tools is a benefit.

• Ability to articulate complex requirements clearly and implement them in a pragmatic manner.

• Fluent in German with good proficiency in English.
