Senior Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the technical security posture for production AI systems, encompassing infrastructure, pipelines, and agents.

• Enhance cloud infrastructure, APIs, internal tools, and CI/CD pipelines by implementing encryption, secrets management, logging, and access controls.

• Perform vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, adversarial testing, threat modeling, and manual security assessments.

• Lead efforts to remediate vulnerabilities until they are fully resolved.

• Develop defenses against prompt injection, conduct adversarial-input testing, and establish guardrails for tool-calling and agentic AI systems.

• Continuously monitor production AI systems for anomalies, attempts of abuse, and unsafe decision-making.

• Manage automated security, cost, and architecture audits across client codebases.

• Set up alerting and detection mechanisms, investigate incidents, and oversee containment, root-cause analysis, remediation, and prevention efforts.

• Ensure operational visibility into access patterns and security-related events.

• Address security questionnaires, conduct vendor risk assessments, respond to enterprise RFPs, and engage in direct technical discussions with clients.

• Carry out architecture reviews and define secure development practices in collaboration with engineering, Product, Compliance, and Operations teams.

• Operate within client repositories, tools, and compliance assessments, including engagements with requirements such as HIPAA.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience in security engineering, infrastructure security, application security, DevSecOps, or offensive security.

• Fundamental engineering knowledge, including testing, code reviews, CI/CD, Git, containers, and API design.

• Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of the AWS ecosystem.

• Proven experience in identifying and remediating vulnerabilities in active production systems.

• Background in securing AI or LLM-powered systems or automated agents, addressing prompt injection, adversarial inputs, unauthorized actions, unsafe outputs, and data leakage.

• Familiarity with SOC 2 and PCI DSS compliance frameworks.

• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Regular use of AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Proficient in written and spoken English, at a C1 level or above.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Preferred: knowledge of prompt-injection attacks, adversarial AI techniques, AI guardrails, and behavioral anomaly detection.

• Preferred: experience with cloud security tools, SIEM and observability platforms, penetration testing tools, endpoint security solutions, and infrastructure-as-code security (Terraform, Bicep, or similar).

• Preferred: experience in high-growth startups, fintech, banking, or payments sectors.

• Preferred: certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS Security Specialty, or similar.

• Preferred: contributions to open-source security tools, published technical articles, or active involvement in the security community.
