This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Act as the primary expert on intricate transactions, such as M&A and business combinations (ASC 805), financing deals, revenue recognition (ASC 606), impairment, financial instruments, and foreign currency issues.
• Prepare and assess SEC-style financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures, while assisting in the development of reporting processes that meet public-company standards.
• Conduct research, document findings, and reach conclusions on technical accounting issues under US GAAP, including drafting position memos and related journal entries.
• Create and update accounting policies for global entities, ensuring alignment with new standards and SEC guidelines.
• Collaborate with global accounting teams, FP&A, Legal, and HR to assess the accounting implications of transactions, financing, commercial arrangements, and new initiatives.
• Coordinate with external auditors to ensure alignment on accounting conclusions, facilitate audit reviews, and resolve technical issues.
• Take ownership of issues from start to finish and provide clear recommendations.
• Assist in the design of internal controls and ensure SOX readiness for technical accounting and reporting processes.
• Possess an active CPA license.
• Have 8 to 12 years of experience, including Big 4 audit or advisory roles and technical accounting or SEC reporting for a public company.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise in US GAAP related to M&A, financing transactions, and revenue recognition, as well as impairment, financial instruments, and foreign exchange.
• Experience in technology or IT firms with revenues between $500M and $2.5B is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with NetSuite is a plus.
• Exhibit strong research and memo-writing abilities.
• Possess the capability to draw conclusions on technical matters and articulate them clearly to auditors, management, and individuals without accounting backgrounds.
• Display independent problem-solving skills and strong ownership of tasks.

• Reside in the United States, preferably in the Eastern or Central time zone.
