Senior Seamer Service Representative – Metal Packaging

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical support to clients within the North American Food and Household Division.

• Ensure the efficient operation of customer equipment and can-filling processes.

• Address issues related to the usage of steel and aluminum cans.

• Adjust customer seaming equipment to ensure proper double seam integrity.

• Identify and resolve seam defects and problems with seaming machines.

• Provide assistance for general inquiries and urgent breakdown situations.

• Schedule proactive visits to customers to evaluate seam performance and offer guidance.

• Commission new machinery and conduct repairs, inspections, and comprehensive overhauls of closing equipment on-site.

• Sustain internal and external communications while keeping management informed about field activities and competitor insights.

• Recognize training opportunities for customer personnel.

• Prepare customer service reports and timesheets while documenting activities.

• Carry out double seam evaluations and provide thorough documentation.

• Set up, modify, troubleshoot, audit, repair, rebuild, install, and dismantle seamers.

• Support product trials, testing, and address product quality issues, along with double seam training.

• Collect and report data on tooling, equipment, products, and processes.

• Install tooling and equipment.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma with technical training.

• 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing or related machine maintenance.

• Experience with can closing machinery is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with employees across all levels.

• Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Solid mechanical aptitude with training in equipment and machinery repair and maintenance.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to travel up to 70-80%, including both driving and flying.

• Strong time management abilities with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
