This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the scientific Senior Scientist Business Owner for digital tools, workflows, and data that support molecular cloning and the design of individual constructs and plasmids in biologics discovery.
• Facilitate connections between scientists and technology teams by converting scientific requirements into product priorities, system specifications, and scalable digital capabilities.
• Assist scientists in utilizing and enhancing tools that aid in construct design, sequence registration, cloning, and other related experimental processes.
• Take ownership of the scientific data domain related to cloning workflows.
• Establish representations and relationships for sequences, components, constructs, vectors, plasmids, molecule formats, and associated experiments across scientific applications.
• Collaborate with Business Owners, software engineers, business analysts, and data teams to implement data models and integrate systems.
• Lead discussions with molecular biologists, cloning scientists, protein engineers, and other users involved in biologics discovery.
• Transform scientific requirements into data and workflow specifications and articulate scientific concepts to technical teams.
• Collaborate with technology teams throughout the phases of design, implementation, testing, release, and adoption.
• Direct requirements reviews and oversee user training and acceptance testing.
• Organize release communications, training, and the adoption of new capabilities.
• Define standard procedures for capturing high-quality molecular biology design data.
• Enhance data quality and readiness for downstream automation, analytics, and ML/AI-driven discovery.
• A Doctorate degree OR a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience OR a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
• A degree in Molecular Biology, Protein Engineering, Structural Biology, or a related scientific discipline.
• In-depth knowledge of molecular cloning and plasmid design workflows.
• Previous hands-on experience in cloning or individual construct design within a research or biotechnology setting.
• Proficiency in antibody-based molecule formats, including antibody fragments and multispecifics.
• Experience in translating scientific workflows into informatics tools, structured data, standardized processes, and implementation guidance.
• Background in owning or managing a scientific product, workflow, data domain, roadmap, or feature backlog.
• Familiarity with scientific data models, controlled terminology, metadata, identifiers, entity relationships, versioning, lineage, and cross-system data integration.
• Experience with sequence design, construct registration, laboratory informatics, or similar scientific platforms.
• Proven record of leading requirements reviews, user acceptance testing, troubleshooting, release readiness, and user adoption.
• Knowledge of agile software delivery and preparing scientific data for analytics or ML/AI applications.
• Strong skills in facilitation, prioritization, problem-solving, organization, and communication.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across scientific and technical teams.
