
Senior SCADA Engineer – Graphics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Independently design, develop, test, and deliver advanced DDC and SCADA graphics within designated project hours and timelines.
• Create dynamic, user-friendly, high-performance graphical interfaces that align with client specifications and Divcon standards.
• Lead graphics development for intricate commercial, industrial, and mission-critical building automation projects.
• Convert control sequences, points lists, mechanical plans, equipment submittals, and specifications into operator graphics.
• Generate graphics for HVAC systems, central utility plants, electrical distribution, lighting, power monitoring, and integrated building systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, controls engineers, programmers, field technicians, and commissioning personnel.
• Review project scope, identify gaps in information, and address graphics-related design inquiries.
• Conduct quality-control reviews that encompass navigation, point mapping, equipment status, alarms, trends, overrides, setpoints, and system summaries.
• Identify and report on technical, quality, scheduling, and scope-related risks.
• Troubleshoot graphics performance, point integration, display logic, navigation, responsive layouts, and end-user usability.
• Assist with graphics deployment, checkout, startup, commissioning, and project closeout.
• Remotely troubleshoot graphics issues alongside field personnel.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain communication and follow-up with project managers and stakeholders.
• Ensure graphics packages are delivered to job sites and commissioning teams in a timely manner.
• Keep project documentation, revision histories, backups, and release packages organized.
• Develop and maintain graphics libraries, templates, symbols, naming conventions, navigation standards, and reusable components.
• Suggest enhancements to graphics processes, engineering workflows, documentation, and quality-control protocols.
• Mentor junior graphics specialists and engineers through technical guidance, design feedback, troubleshooting support, and platform training.
• Review the work of less-experienced team members and provide constructive pre-release feedback.
• Assist with system expansions, modernization projects, software upgrades, and long-term customer service.
• Participate in technical reviews, lessons-learned discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay informed about emerging visualization technologies, industry standards, and user-interface design practices.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree in engineering technology, automation, controls, computer-aided design, graphic design, information technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Four or more years of experience with building automation, DDC, SCADA, BMS, EMS, or EPMS systems.
• Three or more years of experience in developing graphical interfaces for building automation or industrial control applications.
• Capability to independently manage complex graphics projects from initial design through deployment and closeout.
• Strong comprehension of BAS, BMS, EMS, DDC, SCADA, and EPMS system architecture and operational needs.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, central plants, electrical systems, and building automation principles.
• Proficiency in interpreting mechanical plans, control drawings, sequences of operation, points lists, equipment schedules, and technical submittals.
• Expertise in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent graphic design software.
• Experience in developing graphics for browser-based or SCADA visualization platforms.
• Strong technical troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent quality-control skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Capacity to work independently while ensuring effective communication with project teams and management.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
• Ability to mentor and support less-experienced technical team members.
• High degree of integrity, accountability, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Experience with DGLogik, DGLux5 Designer, ECLYPSE Designer, or ENVYSION Designer is preferred.
• Familiarity with Ignition SCADA visualization tools, including Vision or Perspective, is preferred.
• Experience with Delta Controls systems and graphics development environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of OrcaView Illustrator, Sweet Home 3D, or similar specialized graphics tools is preferred.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC-based systems or integrated industrial automation environments is preferred.
• Proficiency in web-based graphics development, responsive design, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or related technologies is preferred.
• Understanding of 3D modeling and visualization techniques is preferred.
• Experience with data centers, hospitals, laboratories, central utility plants, or other mission-critical facilities is preferred.
• Familiarity with version control systems, controlled release processes, and collaborative development workflows is preferred.
• Experience conducting peer reviews, quality audits, or technical training is preferred.
• Knowledge of graphics and user-interface standards for alarms, trends, navigation, status indication, and operator workflows is preferred.
