Senior SAP Project Manager, Thai Speaker

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Malaysia.

📋 Description

• Oversee SAP transformation initiatives from initial mobilisation through to hypercare and transition into support.

• Create and uphold governance structures for the programme.

• Ensure that project delivery adheres to defined scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.

• Provide direction to multidisciplinary delivery teams.

• Develop and sustain comprehensive integrated project plans.

• Manage programme milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and critical paths effectively.

• Track project performance and implement corrective measures as necessary.

• Promote compliance with established delivery methodologies and governance standards.

• Foster strong relationships with client executives and business leaders.

• Facilitate Steering Committee and governance meetings efficiently.

• Manage communication across various stakeholder groups.

• Ensure timely decision-making and effective escalation management.

• Oversee project budgets, forecasts, resource utilization, and overall financial performance.

• Handle contractual obligations and manage change requests.

• Maintain registers for project risks and issues, leading mitigation and resolution efforts.

• Coordinate project resources across both business and technical teams.

• Manage third-party suppliers and implementation partners effectively.

• Ensure that project deliverables conform to agreed-upon standards.

• Conduct health checks and readiness assessments for the project.

• Supervise testing, deployment, and cutover governance activities.

• Support activities related to organisational change management.

• Ensure the development and execution of business readiness plans.

• Drive engagement, training, and adoption efforts among stakeholders.

• Facilitate the transition into business-as-usual operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 10 years of experience in project or programme management.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading SAP implementation or transformation projects.

• Proven experience in delivering at least two full lifecycle SAP programmes.

• Experience managing geographically distributed teams and multiple workstreams.

• Proficiency in managing executive-level stakeholders and governance forums.

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations, including migrations from SAP ECC to S/4HANA, greenfield ERP programmes, brownfield transformation projects, multi-country SAP roll-outs, shared services, and business transformation initiatives, or application managed services transition programmes.

• Familiarity with the SAP Activate methodology.

• Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies.

• Knowledge of programme governance frameworks, risk and quality management, cutover and deployment planning, and transition to support and hypercare management.

• Strong understanding of the SAP S/4HANA programme lifecycle, data migration concepts, testing lifecycle and defect management, security and access governance principles, integration management, change management and training activities, and environment and release planning.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Proficiency in Thai.

• PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification.

• Strong leadership capabilities and executive presence.

• Excellent skills in stakeholder management, communication, and presentation.

• Strong awareness of commercial and financial matters.

• Sound judgment and decision-making capabilities.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Ability to lead diverse teams in complex transformation settings.
