Senior SAP Data Migration Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide technical guidance for data migration initiatives, ensuring accountability for solution quality, delivery timelines, and mentorship.

• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to collect and assess data migration requirements.

• Convert business needs into technical specifications for SAP data migration.

• Direct migration strategy for intricate programs or modules.

• Establish migration standards, tools, and reusable assets.

• Review and authorize mappings, transformations, and validation outcomes.

• Act as the escalation point for data migration challenges.

• Develop user manuals, configuration guides, and training materials for SAP data migration processes.

• Work alongside developers, project managers, cross-functional teams, solution architects, and functional consultants across SAP modules, including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and SAP EWM.

• Collaborate with project leadership on planning and risk management.

• Investigate and resolve SAP functionality issues while supporting system integration, data migration, and interface development.

• Create SAP conversion solutions using LSMW, SAP Data Services, IDOC, BAPI, SQL, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), and Modeler (LTMOM).

• Participate in comprehensive mock conversions and go-lives.

• Mentor and develop junior team members.

• Ensure adherence to data governance and audit standards.

• Engage in quality assurance activities and safeguard sensitive information in line with security policies.

• Execute other related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, CS, IT, STEM, or a related field, with 5–7 years of progressive data migration experience, OR no degree and 7–10 years of relevant experience.

• SAP Data Services Certification.

• In-depth understanding of SAP data migration tools and techniques, including LSMW, SAP Data Services, IDOC, BAPI, SQL, Migration Cockpit (LTMC), and Modeler (LTMOM).

• Capability to independently design, develop, test, debug, and implement solutions.

• Experience with enterprise systems, preferably SAP.

• Strong knowledge of ERP and data architecture.

• Excellent consulting and communication skills when interacting with clients and stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities with a keen attention to detail.

• Critical and analytical thinking abilities to troubleshoot both simple and complex issues.

• Active Government Clearance, or the ability to obtain one before the start date; obtaining it requires U.S. citizenship.
