Senior SAP Business One Consultant – Cloud Migration, Future Architecture

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver expert assistance for the internal transition of the SAP Business One environment from Microsoft SQL Server to SAP HANA.

• Collaborate with Development and DevOps teams to establish best practices for upcoming customer projects.

• Record lessons learned, potential challenges, and effective methodologies.

• Assist partners and end customers in migrating their current on-premises B1 systems to the Cloudiax Cloud.

• Analyze customizations, bespoke developments, add-ons, and existing workflows.

• Evaluate migration feasibility, necessary adjustments, and associated risks.

• Create clear, detailed, and traceable migration roadmaps.

• Offer technical and process-related assistance to partners and customers throughout the migration process.

• Collaborate with Partner Management and Development to identify and support migration initiatives.

• Contribute to the design of the target architecture for Business One Version 11 using Linux, Kubernetes, and the Web Client.

• Identify processes and weaknesses suitable for extensions or AXeLANT, Cloudiax’s AI automation platform.

• Work alongside the Innovation and Product teams on the ongoing development of AXeLANT.

• Assess the Service Layer as the API foundation for extensions and integrations.

• Build internal expertise on common B1 add-ons and evaluate potential replacements in the new architecture.

• Emphasize solution design and customer engagement over hands-on programming.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as an SAP Business One consultant, preferably with migration, rollout, or system replacement projects.

• Exceptional process knowledge in SAP Business One.

• Experience with the Service Layer and external add-ons.

• In-depth understanding of the SAP Business One ecosystem.

• Ability to realistically assess opportunities, limitations, and risks.

• Interest in Web Client, cloud technologies, Linux/Kubernetes, and AI.

• Openness to challenge existing processes and replace workarounds with modern methodologies and AXeLANT automation.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.

• A conceptual approach to work, with the capability to connect current requirements to future target architectures.

• Native-level proficiency in German.

• Fluent business English for collaboration with international partners and customers.
