This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Provide disciplinary and functional leadership for the Cloud Engineering team, consisting of 7 members.
• Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, and personnel reporting.
• Take charge of recruitment and strategic workforce, capacity, and resource planning.
• Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture that emphasizes service and customer orientation.
• Collaborate with the Business Line to further enhance the service and performance portfolio.
• Ensure sustainable management of knowledge and competencies within the team.
• Define, establish, and enforce professional and methodological standards as well as best practices.
• Encourage innovation by identifying new technologies and market trends.
• Ensure compliance with the normative, regulatory, and strategic requirements of Axians Somnitec AG.
• Contribute to budget planning, investment decisions, and the strategic development of the assigned area.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and sustainable knowledge transfer throughout the organization.
• Manage escalations that involve complex technical or organizational challenges.
• Oversee the continuous development of processes, policies, and governance models within the department.
• Actively participate in technical solution approaches and serve as a sparring partner on complex projects.
• Several years of leadership and practical experience in an engineering or infrastructure setting.
• Industry experience in IT, preferably within a managed services context.
• Completed higher vocational education (HF/FH) in Computer Science or a related qualification.
• Strong understanding of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services.
• Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams and specialized departments.
• Experience in knowledge, competence, and talent management is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical specialists.
• Strong inclination towards standardization, quality management, and automation.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented work approach.
• Excellent command of German and English, both written and spoken.
• Flexible working hours, offering a 40-hour workweek with part-time options.
• Location-independent work, with the possibility to work from home or remotely within Switzerland.
