This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide guidance to clients regarding cloud architectures, DevOps strategies, and platform concepts, emphasizing sustainable solutions.
• Design and assist in the development of cloud service management platforms, ensuring their smooth integration into current operating and governance models.
• Create target architectures for CI/CD, containerization, and infrastructure environments.
• Convert business requirements into feasible technical solutions.
• Offer advice on adopting DevOps practices, platform engineering methods, and self-service models—from strategy formulation to operational implementation.
• Develop proposals for architectural decisions, reference architectures, and governance frameworks for monitoring, logging, and security in multicloud settings.
• Conduct architecture workshops and deliver presentations to executive stakeholders.
• Persuade IT leaders and technical teams of the developed concepts.
• Provide technical direction in complex consulting projects.
• Contribute to the strategic enhancement of the cloud and DevOps consulting portfolio.
• A completed university degree in fields such as computer science or business informatics, or an equivalent qualification paired with relevant professional experience.
• Several years of experience in consulting as a cloud or DevOps architect, preferably within regulated industries.
• Profound conceptual knowledge of cloud service management and brokerage platforms, along with experience in integrating them into intricate IT environments.
• Strong architectural expertise in Kubernetes (OpenShift, Rancher), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible), GitLab CI, AWS, Azure, GCP, and sovereign/private clouds (OpenStack).
• Experience in designing security architectures and identity solutions using OAuth, OpenID Connect, and SAML.
• Robust methodological knowledge in architectural work, such as arc42, TOGAF, or similar frameworks.
• Experience in drafting architecture documentation and decision-making proposals.
• Programming skills in Python, Go, or Java.
• Exceptional communication and presentation abilities in German (C2) and English (minimum B2).
• A hands-on mentality, strong self-motivation, and a service-oriented approach.
• A collaborative team player with excellent documentation skills and a commitment to sharing knowledge actively.
• Active involvement with trends and factors influencing cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering.
• Optional certifications such as AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), PRINCE2 Agile Foundation, or ITIL Practitioner may be pursued through XAAS.
