This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Provide disciplinary and functional leadership for the Cloud Engineering team consisting of seven members.
• Conduct coaching, performance evaluations, employee development, and personnel reporting.
• Oversee recruitment and strategic workforce, capacity, and resource planning.
• Cultivate a high-performing engineering culture with a strong emphasis on service and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the Business Line to enhance the service and performance portfolio.
• Ensure effective knowledge and competence management within the team.
• Define, establish, and uphold professional and methodological standards and best practices.
• Encourage innovation while identifying new technologies and market trends.
• Ensure adherence to Axians Somnitec AG’s normative, regulatory, and strategic guidelines.
• Participate in budget planning, investment decisions, and strategic development within the area of responsibility.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and organization-wide knowledge transfer.
• Handle escalations related to complex technical or organizational issues.
• Continuously improve processes, policies, and governance models.
• Actively engage in technical solution strategies and serve as a sparring partner on challenging projects.
• Several years of leadership and practical experience in an engineering or infrastructure setting.
• Industry experience in IT, preferably within a managed services context.
• Completed advanced professional education (HF/FH) in Computer Science or a related qualification.
• Comprehensive understanding of modern cloud, platform, and infrastructure services.
• Proven experience in leading and developing technical teams and specialized departments.
• Background in knowledge, competence, and talent management is advantageous.
• Established experience in managing technical specialists.
• Strong inclination towards standardization, quality management, and automation.
• Analytical, structured, and solution-focused work approach.
• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
• Capability for interconnected, strategic, and entrepreneurial thinking.
• Proven accountability and dependable execution of tasks.
• Exhibit role-model behavior concerning values, standards, and expectations.
