Senior SAP Accounting Master Data Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary subject matter expert for SAP Accounting Master Data.

• Ensure the integrity and governance of essential financial structures.

• Oversee and maintain financial master data, which includes General Ledger accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Global Hierarchies, Validation Tables, and other SAP accounting objects.

• Align financial data structures with the organization's goals and changing business requirements.

• Analyze intricate accounting, financial, and system-related challenges, identify underlying causes, and implement sustainable solutions.

• Lead and support SAP enhancements, testing initiatives, system upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.

• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and business stakeholders to foster process improvements and optimize master data management.

• Develop and implement controls, standards, and governance processes to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.

• Convert complex financial and technical concepts into actionable recommendations.

• Lead moderately complex projects and initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams.

• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and boost operational efficiency.

• Provide expert guidance and assistance for accounting system and technology-related issues affecting multiple business areas.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and enterprise financial systems.

• Experience in managing and governing master data within SAP or equivalent ERP environments.

• Proven capability to solve complex problems and navigate uncertainty in a dynamic environment.

• Strong project management, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

• Exceptional communication abilities with the capacity to influence stakeholders and articulate complex concepts clearly.

• Commitment to continuous improvement, data quality, and operational excellence.

• 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial systems, SAP master data, financial reporting, or related fields.

• Experience in supporting SAP accounting processes, month-end close activities, testing, and system enhancements.

• Knowledge of master data governance, internal controls, financial reporting structures, and process optimization.

• Required to undergo a background investigation.
