Senior Salesforce Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist the workforce for CRM, Integration, and Platform Services.

• Execute Salesforce configuration, development, integration, troubleshooting, and sustainment tasks with minimal supervision.

• Design, configure, develop, integrate, test, document, and maintain Salesforce functionalities utilizing Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio, Flow, Apex, Lightning Web Components, APIs, DevOps Center, and Salesforce integration patterns.

• Provide support for CRM data models, sharing models, role hierarchies, automation, Lightning experiences, integrations, reporting, and environment management.

• Convert business, mission, security, accessibility, and operational requirements into feasible technical solutions.

• Assist in platform architecture, backlog refinement, implementation strategies, release readiness, and transition activities to production.

• Create reusable patterns, configuration standards, automation, documentation, and support processes.

• Resolve intricate issues across platform configuration, code, data, APIs, identity, security, performance, and user experience.

• Collaborate with government stakeholders, architects, engineers, product owners, cybersecurity, privacy, data, infrastructure, QA, operations, change management, and business users.

• Maintain technical documentation, design decisions, implementation notes, test evidence, and operational runbooks.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of experience in senior platform engineering or application development, ideally within complex enterprise or government settings.

• Practical experience with Salesforce implementation, configuration, development, integration, testing, or operations.

• Experience collaborating with Agile delivery teams and translating stakeholder needs into sustainable technical solutions.

• Profound hands-on knowledge of Salesforce capabilities, implementation patterns, administration, development, integration, and lifecycle management.

• Ability to design and deploy secure, maintainable, upgrade-aware solutions that minimize unnecessary customization and reduce technical debt.

• Experience with APIs, identity and access controls, data management, testing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordinating releases.

• Capability to document technical designs, configuration decisions, operational procedures, test outcomes, and risks in clear business and technical language.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across government stakeholders, product owners, engineers, QA, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

• Eligibility to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

• Desired: Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer, Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Sharing and Visibility Architect, Application Architect, System Architect, or CTA credential.

• Desired: Experience supporting federal government IT environments, Public Trust programs, or regulated enterprise delivery.

• Desired: Familiarity with Section 508, cybersecurity, auditability, data protection, and operational documentation standards.

• Desired: Knowledge of DevSecOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, infrastructure as code, or platform release automation.

• Desired: Understanding of federal security and compliance standards, including NIST controls, FISMA, FedRAMP-authorized services, audit evidence, and least privilege principles.

• Desired: Experience enhancing platform governance, reuse, documentation, observability, and operational readiness.

• Desired: Familiarity with Microsoft 365, ServiceNow, Atlassian, Snowflake, data catalog, CRM, or enterprise integration ecosystems.
