DevSecOps – Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement CI/CD workflows utilizing the client's existing Atlassian Cloud, FSA GitLab, and NGDC AWS infrastructure.

• Develop pipeline-as-code, reusable templates, automated quality gates, provisioning of environments, configuration automation, and release management controls.

• Incorporate unit, integration, end-to-end, security, compliance, and infrastructure testing within the delivery workflows.

• Apply infrastructure-as-code and cloud deployment strategies that support both portable and severable applications.

• Manage pipeline tool inventories, coding standards, reusable libraries, standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and technical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-218, relevant OMB/CISA guidelines, STIGs, and CIS standards.

• Offer platform troubleshooting, performance enhancement, access support, and technical guidance to developers and Government stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience.

• Practical experience in implementing enterprise CI/CD, cloud/platform automation, infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and release automation.

• Familiarity with Git-based development, automated testing, security-tool integration, and AWS or equivalent cloud environments.

• Capability to develop and maintain technical procedures, reusable automation, and platform documentation.

• Eligibility to obtain a 6c Public Trust clearance.

• U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.

• Preferred: Experience with GitLab CI/CD and Git workflows.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Atlassian Jira/Confluence.

• Preferred: Expertise in AWS DevSecOps.

• Preferred: Skills in Terraform/CloudFormation or comparable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.

• Preferred: Understanding of containers and platform automation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with NIST SP 800-218.

• Preferred: Knowledge of STIG/CIS compliance automation.

• An active Secret clearance is strongly preferred.
