This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Administer designated sales compensation plans in CaptivateIQ, encompassing SE and SE Leadership, Channel and Channel Leadership, Overlay, MBO-based plans, and various special incentive programs.
• Assist in the monthly and quarterly commission processing, which includes validation of payouts, conducting audit checks, and performing reconciliations.
• Maintain and update compensation guidelines, plan logic, participant information, crediting, quotas, hierarchies, and payout calculations within CaptivateIQ.
• Review and verify commissionable data, such as bookings, attainment, crediting, splits, hierarchy assignments, quotas, and eligibility for plans.
• Investigate and address compensation-related inquiries, disputes, and exceptions.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and Sales Leadership to resolve issues related to compensation.
• Assist with the issuance, tracking, and documentation of compensation plans.
• Maintain detailed documentation of plan rules, processes, exceptions, approvals, and standard operating procedures.
• Support compensation reporting tasks, including payout summaries, attainment reporting, inquiry tracking, and ad hoc analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements, automation, and control improvements.
• Provide backup support across various compensation plan areas and engage in cross-training initiatives.
• Assist in the annual and mid-year rollouts of compensation plans, including plan testing and communication strategies.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience with CaptivateIQ is mandatory.
• At least 5 years of experience in sales compensation, finance, revenue operations, sales operations, payroll, or a related analytical position.
• Proven experience in administering compensation plans, validating payouts, developing compensation logic, and investigating commission-related inquiries.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, including utilization of formulas, lookups, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Experience with large data sets and conducting detailed reconciliations is essential.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities are required.
• High level of attention to detail and a dedication to accuracy.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines, particularly during month-end, quarter-end, and year-end periods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft compensation plan documents.
• Proficient in clearly explaining compensation calculations and policies to non-technical audiences.
• Comfortable working collaboratively with stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Payroll, RevOps, HR, and leadership.
• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of SaaS sales compensation plans, including AE, SDR/BDR, SE, Channel, Overlay, and leadership plans.
• Experience in supporting MBOs, SPIFFs, one-off incentive plans, or special compensation programs.
• Familiarity with reporting or BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or experience with data querying is a plus.
• Previous experience in improving or optimizing compensation processes within CaptivateIQ is preferred.
