Senior Safety Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Define the strategic vision for safety in collaboration with leadership and executive partners.

• Create and implement safety policies and procedures across the company.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations.

• Foster a safety culture and enhance employee involvement.

• Oversee operational risks and initiatives to prevent incidents.

• Establish training requirements, conduct audits, inspections, and implement corrective actions.

• Promote ongoing improvements in safety systems and performance metrics.

• Lead the formulation, execution, and ongoing enhancement of i2G Systems' corporate safety strategy across all business functions.

• Collaborate with executive leadership, Operations, PMO, Service, and Field teams to develop and implement a comprehensive safety program.

• Act as the subject matter expert on safety governance, policies, procedures, training programs, risk mitigation, incident management, and auditing processes.

• Keep abreast of new regulatory requirements and evaluate safety performance metrics.

• Direct investigations into incidents and near-miss occurrences.

• Implement corrective measures to minimize risks and safeguard against injuries.

• Safeguard employees, clients, and the company’s reputation while promoting the safe and efficient execution of business activities.

• Report directly to the Senior Director of Business Operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in safety leadership.

• At least 5 years in a senior safety management role within construction, low-voltage systems, electronic security, telecommunications, or similar industries.

• Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, state and local safety mandates, workers' compensation practices, and industry standards.

• Proven experience in developing, executing, and managing organization-wide safety programs, policies, procedures, and training initiatives.

• Proven ability to collaborate with executive leadership to establish strategic safety goals and promote organizational accountability.

• Experienced in leading accident investigations, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Knowledge of field operations including construction safety, electrical safety, fleet safety, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, and other high-risk activities.

• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.

• Experienced in managing safety audits, customer safety standards, contractor compliance programs, and regulatory inspections.

• Strong analytical capabilities, including trend identification, KPI development, and data utilization for driving safety enhancements.

• Flexible with work hours and capable of thriving in high-pressure situations.

• Detail-oriented, process-focused, and dedicated to achieving excellence.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software platforms.

• Willingness to travel across North America, estimated at 25%.

• A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Risk Management, Construction Management, Industrial Safety, or a related field is preferred.

• Preferred or advantageous certifications include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), OSHA 500, and/or OSHA 510 Certification, among other relevant safety credentials.
