Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Engage directly with a well-established Ruby on Rails application hosted on Heroku.

• Enhance and refactor the current Rails logic to boost stability and maintainability.

• Address significant technical challenges that are hindering the team's progress.

• Assist in minimizing technical debt in essential areas of the codebase.

• Collaborate intimately with existing engineers to facilitate progress.

• Implement safe, thoroughly tested modifications with a focus on production reliability.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10+ years of professional experience with Ruby on Rails.

• Extensive experience with large, mature, or legacy Rails applications.

• Profound knowledge of Rails conventions, ActiveRecord, and typical Rails patterns.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities in real-world codebases.

• Experience in deploying or supporting Rails applications on Heroku.

• Capability to quickly adapt and start making significant contributions.

• Clear and thoughtful communicator who collaborates effectively with distributed teams.
