Senior Ruby on Rails Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain scalable, robust RESTful APIs utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Engage in the complete development lifecycle: architecture, implementation, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring in production.

• Play a role in the advancement of the monolithic core, alongside microservices projects and integrations with partners including ERP systems, payment gateways, and other external platforms.

• Ensure technical excellence through code reviews, adherence to Clean Code principles, SOLID design, and team standards.

• Observe and enhance performance through APM, resource tuning, and analysis and optimization of queries.

• Collaborate within multidisciplinary squads employing agile methodologies, such as Scrum and Kanban, fostering teamwork between engineering and product teams.

• Navigate various contexts and work alongside teams and workflows using TypeScript and mobile technologies, maintaining a holistic systems-level perspective.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven senior-level expertise in Ruby on Rails.

• Familiarity with TypeScript.

• Strong understanding of REST APIs, encompassing design, documentation, and usage.

• Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and data modeling.

• Proficiency in Git/GitHub.

• Strong knowledge of automated testing frameworks, such as RSpec, covering unit, integration, and black-box testing.

• Experience in cloud environments, especially AWS.

• A mindset of ownership, with autonomy, proactivity, and a focus on delivering technical value.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Understanding of NoSQL databases and caching/queuing systems, including Redis, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB.

• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitHub Actions and Argo CD.

• Preferred: experience with microservices architecture and messaging, such as AWS SNS/SQS.

• Proficiency in Spanish is beneficial, but not mandatory.
