Senior Ruby Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain scalable, secure, and high-performance RESTful APIs utilizing Ruby on Rails.

• Design, implement, and enhance relational databases to ensure efficiency and maintain data integrity.

• Identify, assess, and resolve performance and scalability issues in applications and services.

• Develop and perform unit and integration tests to guarantee quality delivery.

• Actively engage in agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.

• Document APIs, components, and technical workflows.

• Foster knowledge sharing within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in development with Ruby and Ruby on Rails.

• Strong expertise in SQL and relational database management.

• Experience in developing, maintaining, and operating REST APIs.

• Familiarity with application performance, scalability, and security considerations.

• Experience with agile development methodologies.

• Knowledge of software quality practices, including TDD (Test-Driven Development).

• Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes.

• Preferred: experience in application monitoring and observability.

• Preferred: knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Preferred: familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Preferred: experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code.

• Preferred: knowledge of containerization and orchestration, particularly with Docker and Kubernetes.
