Senior RN Cardiovascular Medical Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Offer specialized cardiovascular knowledge and assistance to underwriters for Life insurance, Disability Income, and Long-Term Care by conducting comprehensive analyses of case referrals.

• Examine provider medical records, test results, and treatment plans.

• Facilitate prompt consultations with underwriters and determine when further medical information is required.

• Analyze and interpret EKGs while evaluating cardiovascular studies, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac MRIs.

• Collaborate under guidance to meet company mortality and morbidity objectives by researching, developing, drafting, revising, and implementing less complex proprietary medical standards.

• Convey risk assessments, justifications, recommendations, and reconsiderations to underwriters and technical underwriting consultants.

• Maintain adherence to underwriting decisions.

• Deliver medical education and training to new underwriters in Life, Disability Income, and Long-Term Care.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in cardiovascular medicine along with a bachelor's degree in nursing.

• Experience in a specialized cardiac unit and/or clinic setting.

• Proficient understanding of various cardiovascular conditions.

• Familiarity with the review and evaluation of diverse cardiovascular tests.

• Excellent interpersonal abilities with a track record of effective collaboration at all levels of experience.

• Strong critical decision-making skills and adaptability in all job facets.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Willingness to adapt as job responsibilities evolve.

• Eagerness to participate in LOMA/ALU and/or other industry-related programs.

• Proficient in computer operations and experienced in a "Windows" environment.

• Background in genetics and/or bioinformatics is a plus.
