This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Create, develop, and sustain dashboards and reporting mechanisms for risk and compliance metrics, including return rates, unauthorized activities, fraud trends, and chargebacks.
• Examine extensive transaction datasets to uncover patterns, anomalies, and emerging risks.
• Generate both recurring and ad hoc reports for leadership and stakeholders.
• Construct and enhance automated workflows, data pipelines, and reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to improve data infrastructure and monitoring capabilities.
• Assist in the development of rules engines, alerts, and decision-making tools for transaction monitoring, anomaly detection, and underwriting.
• Aid in monitoring NACHA return rates, tracking merchant and originator performance, and compliance KPIs.
• Support QA/testing data analysis, audit assistance, and regulatory reporting.
• Deliver insights into merchant performance and portfolio trends.
• Work with Risk, Compliance, Underwriting, and Operations teams to identify data requirements and provide solutions.
• Clearly present complex analyses and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.
• Convert business requirements into technical data solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field).
• Over 7 years of experience in data analytics, risk analytics, or analytics within the financial services sector.
• Strong expertise in handling large datasets and utilizing visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, or similar applications.
• Ability to convert complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Knowledge of payments data and risk indicators.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience in payments, fintech, or financial services is preferred.
• Familiarity with ACH/NACHA regulations or transaction monitoring is preferred.
• Practical experience with SQL, Python, or similar data manipulation languages is preferred.
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools and automation frameworks is preferred.
• Understanding of fraud detection, risk modeling, or compliance analytics is preferred.
