Mid-Level/Senior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create, sustain, and enhance ETL/ELT pipelines for the ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data from various sources.

• Design and manage data architectures in Google BigQuery and other data environments, prioritizing performance, cost-efficiency, and the structuring of data layers.

• Construct complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation, validation, and analysis purposes.

• Integrate and oversee PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring consistency across different environments.

• Automate data processing and loading routines utilizing Python.

• Establish data quality controls, monitor pipelines, and handle failures effectively.

• Document data flows, models, and business rules comprehensively.

• Assist analytics and product teams by making data accessible for dashboards and key performance indicators.

• Ensure data security and privacy compliance in accordance with Brazil’s LGPD data protection legislation.

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that unify information from various educational networks and systems, guaranteeing quality, traceability, and availability for analytics, product, and management teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

• Proven professional experience as a Data Engineer.

• Expertise in SQL at an advanced level.

• Practical experience with Google BigQuery.

• Experience in constructing and maintaining ETL processes.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL.

• Understanding of NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, Firestore, or similar technologies.

• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and processing tasks.

• Experience working with data in the education sector or public sector.

• Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow, n8n, or similar technologies.

• Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Metabase or Looker Studio.

• Awareness of version control (Git) and best practices in software engineering.

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services beyond BigQuery.

• Understanding of Brazil’s LGPD as it pertains to data processing.
