Senior Revenue Cycle Pre-Registration Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct patient interviews via phone through both inbound and outbound initiatives while managing the pre-registration process.

• Adhere to regulatory standards during pre-registration, including the completion of the Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire.

• Inform patients regarding their anticipated out-of-pocket financial obligations.

• Collect patient liabilities in accordance with organizational protocols.

• Raise high-dollar out-of-pocket accounts that may be at risk of non-payment prior to service delivery.

• Address discrepancies in patient demographics and insurance using various system tools.

• Meticulously record the outcomes of patient interviews while providing outstanding customer service.

• Maintain privacy, safety, and security protocols and correctly utilize equipment and materials.

• Function effectively in a remote call center setting that is free from distractions and background noise.

• Act as a subject matter expert and a reliable resource for colleagues on complex registration, insurance, workflow, and patient financial responsibility issues.

• Engage with providers, payers, patients, and hospital staff.

• Assist in ensuring workflow accuracy and contribute to decreasing bad debt, write-offs, and front-end-related denials.

• Strong typing skills.

• Basic understanding of medical terminology.

• Effective and professional communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

• Bilingual abilities are advantageous.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

• Capacity to work in a remote call center environment that is free from distractions and background noise.

• One year of relevant experience in the medical field is preferred.
