Senior Revenue Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, and reporting for WIP, AR, billing performance, revenue-cycle metrics, cash collections, and operational KPIs.

• Analyze extensive and complex datasets to uncover trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

• Convert financial and operational data into actionable insights and recommendations for Finance Operations leadership.

• Assist with regular executive, financial, and operational reporting.

• Track performance trends and pinpoint areas needing attention or corrective measures.

• Oversee and analyze WIP balances, aging, billing readiness, and revenue-cycle trends.

• Collaborate with operational teams to identify barriers preventing job progression through the revenue cycle.

• Generate reports to highlight aged WIP and expedite billing and revenue realization.

• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing billing readiness, reducing WIP aging, and improving revenue-cycle performance.

• Evaluate open AR balances, aging trends, collection performance, payment risks, and DSO.

• Create tools to assist with collection activities and cash-flow visibility.

• Collaborate with Billing, Collections, Finance, and Operations to resolve customer payment issues.

• Define, document, and uphold business metrics, KPIs, and reporting standards.

• Develop scalable reporting frameworks and dashboards.

• Ensure consistency, accuracy, and data integrity in reporting.

• Enhance data governance and metric definitions.

• Streamline reporting processes, eliminate manual tasks, and boost operational efficiency.

• Partner with Technology and business teams to automate workflows and improve reporting.

• Assist in the implementation, testing, and optimization of systems, integrations, reporting solutions, and business processes.

• Propose process enhancements and create scalable processes for organizational growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue operations, billing, accounts receivable, revenue-cycle management, or similar functions.

• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and experienced in analyzing large datasets and generating financial or operational reports.

• Experience with ERP, CRM, financial, or operational systems.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Proven experience in developing dashboards, KPIs, scorecards, or management reporting.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across Finance, Operations, Billing, Collections, and Technology teams.

• Experience in identifying process inefficiencies and creating solutions to enhance efficiency and financial performance.

• Preferred: experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence and visualization tools.

• Preferred: experience in revenue-cycle management, billing operations, WIP management, or AR analytics.

• Preferred: knowledge of revenue recognition principles and financial reporting.

• Preferred: experience supporting process improvement, automation, or data governance initiatives.

• Preferred: familiarity with NetSuite, Salesforce, or similar enterprise platforms.

• Experience in a growing, multi-business-unit, field-service, infrastructure, telecommunications, renewables, or critical-power organization is an advantage.
