This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +3 more countries.
• Take charge of revenue recognition execution and accounts receivable closing for Omilia's multi-year enterprise agreements.
• Report directly to the VP of Finance.
• Act as Omilia's subject-matter expert regarding ASC 606/IFRS 15.
• Analyze enterprise contracts to identify performance obligations, allocate standalone selling prices, and determine the timing for revenue recognition.
• Manage the accounts receivable month-end close, oversee deferred revenue roll-forward, and conduct revenue-to-cash reconciliations, aiming for a 5-business-day close.
• Handle credit risk assessments and establish collections strategies and priorities.
• Oversee complex and enterprise customer accounts, including managing escalations.
• Collaborate with FP&A on SaaS revenue metrics, such as Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR).
• Review and guide the Revenue Accountant and Collections Specialist.
• Implement revenue recognition schedules, addressing variable consideration, contract modifications, and multi-element arrangements.
• Collaborate on structuring new deals through the deal desk process.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors.
• Conduct contract reviews and standalone selling price allocation for enterprise agreements.
• Establish and communicate collections priorities based on credit risk assessments.
• Provide daily oversight and coaching to accounting personnel.
• Minimum of 5 years in revenue accounting, with practical application of ASC 606/IFRS 15 to multi-element, usage-based, and milestone SaaS arrangements.
• Proven experience in contract review, standalone selling price analysis, variable consideration, and contract modifications.
• Proficiency in NetSuite is mandatory.
• Comfortable operating within a multi-entity, multi-currency framework typical of a scaling global SaaS organization.
• Previous experience in reviewing or mentoring junior accounting staff is essential.
• Ability to make technical accounting judgment calls and defend them to auditors confidently.
• Familiarity with SOX or equivalent internal control frameworks for revenue recognition, along with experience supporting SOC 2 or financial statement audit requests.
• Proactively escalate any revenue recognition risks or contract ambiguities early to prevent delays in closing.
• Treat the 5-business-day close as a personal commitment rather than merely a team objective.
• Full professional fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Valid work authorization for the hiring location is required.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for team meetings (no customer travel needed).
• Experience with NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) is preferred.
• Professional accounting qualifications (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or international equivalent) are preferred.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude) and automation platforms (e.g., n8n) is preferred.
