This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Review B2B SaaS sales contracts to ensure compliance with ASC 606 or applicable revenue recognition standards.
• Review and execute sales orders, billing transactions, and revenue schedules.
• Apply revenue recognition policies to intricate contracts and related issues.
• Identify and implement controls, reconciliations, and tie-outs throughout the quote-to-cash process.
• Complete revenue-related closing tasks and prepare precise management reports.
• Prepare monthly journal entries for revenue and reclassifications.
• Conduct monthly analyses of revenue fluctuations and make miscellaneous revenue adjustments.
• Maintain well-organized, audit-ready documentation for transaction support.
• Coordinate audit documentation and engage in audit walkthroughs.
• Assist with SOX compliance regarding revenue-related controls.
• Utilize Salesforce and NetSuite to extract data, generate reports, and execute saved searches.
• Understand and trace transactions in the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Module through the general ledger.
• Troubleshoot issues related to revenue accounting systems.
• Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and other departments.
• Communicate revenue accounting requirements and their cross-functional impacts to non-financial stakeholders.
• Work with sales teams to structure scalable contracts that support proper revenue recognition.
• Identify and implement process improvements leveraging automation and AI.
• Keep current revenue accounting policies and procedures updated.
• Analyze trends and variances in revenue.
• Maintain reconciliations to ensure accurate revenue accounting and ARR reporting.
• Research and document modifications to revenue recognition policies.
• Participate in relevant professional development activities.
• BS/BA degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
• CPA or similar certification is desirable.
• 3–5 years of experience in revenue recognition within a SaaS company, ideally B2B, or 2–4 years of experience in Big 4 public accounting with SaaS engagements.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606.
• Intermediate to Advanced skills in Excel, including lookups and pivot tables.
• Familiarity with NetSuite and Salesforce CPQ is advantageous.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from both accounting and systems perspectives.
• Self-motivated with the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to assist as needed.
• Flexibility to adapt quickly and excel in a rapidly growing company.
• Must reside in and be authorized to work in India.
