This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the daily management of 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), 457(f), and defined benefit plans.
• Coordinate with the plan actuary to request benefit calculations and prepare the necessary documentation.
• Provide guidance to prospective retirees regarding their options using relevant plan documents prior to finalizing applications.
• Conduct follow-ups as needed before initiating new payment setups in the Trustee system.
• Investigate plan overpayments and initiate requests for stop payments, reissues, and ACH reversals.
• Communicate with participants or their survivors to recover funds owed to the plan.
• Keep participant address and banking information up to date.
• Utilize, maintain, and review electronic files containing scanned backup records and pension-related documents.
• Educate both active and inactive coworkers, as well as beneficiaries, on vesting, plan participation, payment elections, and other retirement details.
• Act as a consultant for networking with coworkers and coordinate responses to inquiries from coworkers or retirees.
• Ensure the seamless exchange of essential information among Payroll, HRIS, actuarial firms, trustees, and benefits staff.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certification - Required.
• 5 years of hands-on professional experience in employee benefits administration specifically related to retirement plans - Required.
• 5 years of comprehensive knowledge of defined benefit retirement plans, defined contribution retirement plans, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, and the applicable laws/regulations affecting each - Required.
• Travel requirements: Never or Rarely.
• Extensive benefit offerings available for eligible employees.
