Senior Resource Geologist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more locations.

📋 Description

• Create and verify geological and block models.

• Generate mineral resource estimates.

• Assist with technical reporting as per NI 43-101 and SK-1300 standards.

• Analyze geological, drilling, sampling, and assay data.

• Conduct QA/QC reviews and perform model reconciliations.

• Collaborate with geology, mine planning, operations, and engineering teams.

• Provide technical guidance on consulting assignments.

• Mentor and assist junior geologists.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of resource estimation practices.

• Aid in business development by fostering client relationships and spotting growth opportunities.

• Represent RESPEC at industry conferences and professional gatherings.

• Participate in recruiting, training, and team development efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in geology, geostatistics, or a related discipline.

• 3-5 years of experience in mine geology within an operational context.

• 5-7 years of practical experience in resource modeling and domain estimation.

• Over 10 years of overall experience in geology, emphasizing resource work.

• Professional qualifications such as Professional Geologist (P.G.) or P.Geo. (Canada) and/or CPG (AIPG).

• Strong expertise in resource estimation, block modeling, and geological analysis.

• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

• The role necessitates the use of a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel.

• Advanced skills in Surpac, MinePlan, Leapfrog, or comparable 3D modeling software are preferred.

• Candidates lacking advanced degrees are encouraged to apply if they can showcase a robust portfolio of modeling and estimation experience.
