Senior Research Analyst, Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as a supporting analyst for IDC's global coverage of enterprise storage infrastructure.

• Assist senior analysts in providing qualitative and quantitative insights and guidance to technology vendors, IT purchasers, and the investment community.

• Create and sustain market models for server-based, file-based, and object-based storage segments.

• Generate and present insights on significant vendor, product, technology, and adoption trends.

• Collaborate with infrastructure and device analysts regarding storage platforms, systems, and services.

• Contribute to publications discussing the current industry landscape and trends shaping its future growth.

• Foster discussions with vendors, providers, regulatory authorities, end users, and fellow IDC analysts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a STEM and/or related discipline is required.

• Approximately 5 years of direct experience with end-users or vendors in the enterprise data storage or IT infrastructure sector.

• Strong skills in quantitative analysis and/or modeling are essential.

• Experience with database management is a plus.

• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities are necessary.

• Willingness to travel around 15% of the time is required.

• Remote work is acceptable, but candidates must reside near a major airport.
