M&A Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +10 more locations.

📋 Description

• Assist in Harris's M&A processes and investment strategies.

• Evaluate M&A prospects against investment criteria for thorough screening.

• Oversee, track, and ensure data quality for the M&A prospect watch-list within the CRM.

• Generate reports and dashboards.

• Conduct primary research on owner-operated businesses, private equity portfolio firms, and potential carve-outs from multinational corporations.

• Perform market sizing, industry trend analysis, and competitor assessments.

• Investigate software M&A advisors, brokers, and investment banking firms.

• Identify and evaluate third-party data sources, including industry tradeshows and conferences.

• Compile and present statistics and KPIs associated with the M&A pipeline.

• Provide support to senior M&A and Corporate Development leaders with on-demand analyses and special projects.

• Travel as required, approximately 10% of the time.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, software, or data analysis.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (BBA/BCom, etc.) is preferred.

• A self-driven individual capable of working independently in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong attention to detail along with the capability to manage multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.

• Excellent organizational skills, and strong written and verbal communication abilities, as well as analytical skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Utilizes AI for research and analytical tasks.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.

• Must be able to work remotely within the U.S. or Canada.

• A current, valid passport is required.

• Legally eligible for travel between the USA and Canada.

• Possesses passport-based visa exemptions or necessary travel visas for entry into Canada and the United States.

• Preference will be given to candidates available to work within the EST timezone.
