M&A Research Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +10 more locations.

📋 Description

• Assist in the M&A process at Harris as a Research Analyst.

• Evaluate M&A prospects utilizing investment criteria for thorough screening.

• Oversee, track, and uphold the quality of CRM data for the M&A prospect watch-list.

• Generate reports and dashboards pertaining to M&A prospect data.

• Conduct primary research on owner-operated enterprises, private equity portfolio firms, and potential carve-outs from multinational corporations.

• Execute market-sizing, industry trend analysis, and competitor assessments.

• Investigate software M&A advisors, brokers, and investment banking firms.

• Identify and evaluate relevant third-party data sources, including industry trade shows and conferences.

• Compile and present statistics and KPIs associated with the M&A pipeline.

• Assist senior M&A and Corporate Development leaders with ad hoc analyses and special projects related to capital deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1-3+ years of experience in finance, accounting, software, or data analysis.

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (BBA/BCom, etc.) is preferred.

• A self-driven individual capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to manage various priorities and meet tight deadlines.

• Strong organizational abilities, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

• Utilizes AI for research and analytical purposes.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.

• Capacity to work remotely from the U.S. or Canada.

• Possess a current, valid passport.

• Legally eligible for travel between the USA and Canada.

• Holds passport-based visa exemptions or required travel visas for entry into Canada and the United States.

• Preference will be given to candidates who can operate in the EST timezone.
