Senior Release Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nevada, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop software releases intended for customer use

• Implement the technical vision for the software release and validation framework

• Construct, sustain, and automate pipelines that support software safety and reliability across the autonomous vehicle fleet

• Enforce and implement shift-left quality gates

• Ensure that only stable and thoroughly validated code is released to the branches

• Collaborate with teams in Autonomy, System Readiness & Performance, and Project Management

• Facilitate the integration of patches and bug fixes

• Act as the main point of contact for inquiries related to release builds

• Carry out the organization’s release strategy while maintaining clear branching models

• Enhance release isolation and stability

• Track release metrics, identify bottlenecks in the build process, and recommend data-driven solutions

• Develop and maintain automation scripts to ensure release quality and manage build compatibility across autonomous stacks

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience and knowledge

• Strong expertise in Git and Python

• Extensive experience with CI/CD infrastructures like GitLab CI or Jenkins

• Background in autonomous driving, robotics, or complex software release settings

• Capability to work effectively within a highly technical team

• Proficiency in translating complex requirements into actionable code

• Strong communication skills with cross-functional stakeholders

• Commitment to building maintainable, production-ready systems

• Experience with Cloud Simulation scaling and AWS application environments is advantageous

• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools is a plus

• Experience with simulation-based validation frameworks like Applied Intuition is a plus
