This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Establish and nurture connections with middle market firms with sales exceeding $50 million in New Jersey.
• Drive revenue growth by cultivating relationships, facilitating deal flow, and implementing a collaborative team strategy.
• Initiate new business opportunities and oversee the approval and closing processes for new agreements.
• Enhance assets and revenue while maximizing profitability (ROE).
• Engage with borrowers to generate ideas and pinpoint opportunities for relationship expansion.
• Acquire new clients, increase loan production, and generate fee income through cross-selling products.
• Assess portfolio credit quality by gathering financial statements and fulfilling reporting requirements.
• Evaluate financial data and implement or suggest corrective measures.
• Control the bank’s risk exposure to acceptable limits.
• Track industry trends and market conditions that impact the banking division and assigned portfolio.
• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as needed.
• Comply with regulatory and compliance policies, standards, and relevant laws.
• Complete necessary compliance training.
• Collaborate with product specialists, portfolio managers, and operational support experts while remaining accountable for the relationship.
• Bachelor’s Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience as a Commercial Lending Relationship Manager and/or in commercial lending sales.
• Some experience in commercial credit may be accepted in lieu of production experience.
• Proficient knowledge of commercial lending credit, underwriting, and loan structuring skills.
• Advanced analytical skills to interpret financial and cash flow analyses.
• Highly developed negotiation capabilities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in employing a calling strategy to proactively reach out to prospects/clients and develop a personally-built network of clients and potential clients.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Capacity to establish and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to identify needs and provide customized solutions.
• Credit training is preferred.
• Some travel may be necessary.
• Ability to fulfill moderate physical requirements, including standing, sitting, walking, driving, or occasional lifting.
