This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee a portfolio of mid-sized, complex retirement plans, generally consisting of 20 to 30 plans, ensuring their long-term retention and profitability.
• Develop and strengthen relationships with plan sponsors, advisors, and internal stakeholders to foster business growth.
• Provide strategic insights regarding plan design, investments, retirement preparedness, and industry trends.
• Conduct regular plan reviews, which include participant education planning and updates on regulations.
• Execute the participant communications strategy and incorporate it into annual client plans.
• Collaborate with sales teams to enhance advisor relationships, cultivate new business, and expand existing accounts.
• Work alongside client service teams to create and implement business planning deliverables.
• Engage in final presentations for new business and conduct site visits.
• Identify and apply solutions that improve client satisfaction while ensuring financial viability.
• Act as the main escalation point for intricate client issues.
• Partner with internal teams to deliver customized solutions for clients.
• Navigate organizational governance structures to advocate for client requirements and business goals.
• Remain updated on market trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory developments.
• Present to clients on industry insights, plan performance, and legislative changes.
• Manage client profit and loss, striking a balance between revenue growth and operational efficiency.
• Lead contract renewals, negotiations, and pricing strategies.
• Spot opportunities to enhance plan efficiency and optimize revenue potential.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years of experience in financial services, including the development of strategic relationships.
• FINRA Series 6 and 63 registrations required within corporate-established timeframes.
• FINRA fingerprinting is mandatory.
• Life Insurance License is required.
• Demonstrated experience in managing client relationships within financial services, retirement plans, or a similar sector.
• Strong knowledge of plan design, investment management, and fiduciary governance.
• Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to navigate organizational structures and influence decision-making processes.
• Strong business acumen, including expertise in financial and risk management.
• Willingness to travel 5-20% as required based on territory and client portfolio.
• Must reside within the Southern California area.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet with a wired connection and a suitable home office environment.
