This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Manage executive-level relationships for a designated portfolio of strategic, enterprise, acquired, and integration-focused firms.
• Cultivate lasting connections with founders, partners, and senior leadership teams.
• Develop long-term relationship strategies that align with firm priorities, Stratos capabilities, commercial goals, service commitments, and risk factors.
• Conduct executive business reviews leveraging data to inform decisions, identify risks, and ensure accountability.
• Anticipate risks related to retention, competition, succession, leadership transitions, and service or integration challenges.
• Collaborate with Corporate Development and M&A teams to integrate and support new firms effectively.
• Oversee post-acquisition integration and facilitate smooth onboarding into the Stratos ecosystem.
• Align business models, processes, technology, talent, and culture with enterprise standards while maintaining the uniqueness of practices.
• Formulate and implement organic and inorganic growth strategies.
• Propel initiatives that enhance revenue generation, advisor productivity, and client satisfaction.
• Provide guidance on succession planning, talent development, market expansion, and practice economics.
• Lead or facilitate intricate commercial discussions and negotiations with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Assess and enhance operational workflows, finance, technology, compliance, and client-service processes.
• Set performance metrics and KPIs related to growth, profitability, and efficiency.
• Conduct regular business reviews, delivering actionable insights and recommendations.
• Mentor and advise leaders, challenge their assumptions, hold them accountable, and drive performance improvements.
• Maintain plans, commitments, opportunities, risk indicators, and forecasts in CRM and reporting systems.
• Connect partner firms with Stratos and SEI resources, directing coordinated cross-functional responses.
• Manage significant escalations from diagnosis to resolution.
• Mentor relationship managers and spearhead selected enterprise initiatives.
• A minimum of ten to fifteen years of senior experience in wealth management, registered investment advisers, advisor platforms, custody, asset management, broker-dealer services, financial services consulting, or similar strategic client engagement.
• Demonstrated success in directly collaborating with founders, business owners, and executive teams while managing complex, high-stakes business relationships.
• Proven ability to lead intricate integrations, transformations, or scaling initiatives, successfully resolving major negotiations and escalations.
• Strong financial acumen, with experience in driving P&L performance and operational enhancements.
• In-depth understanding of advisor and wealth-firm economics and operating models.
• Proficient knowledge of investment and custody concepts, platform technology, and the regulatory framework governing RIAs and hybrid firms.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with executive presence and credibility, capable of delivering constructive challenges.
• Experience in influencing without direct authority and aligning diverse stakeholders around a unified vision.
• High emotional intelligence, adaptability, and resilience.
• Active FINRA Series 65 or Series 66 registration.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 percent.
• Preferred: Experience with enterprise RIAs, acquired practices, national advisor platforms, multi-custody firms, or complex hybrid organizations.
• Preferred: Experience leading post-acquisition integration, transformation, succession planning, practice growth, or executive-level business planning.
• Preferred: FINRA Series 7 registration and CFP, CIMA, CRPC, CFA, or MBA credentials.
• Preferred: Familiarity with CRM, portfolio accounting, financial planning, and custodial platforms.
• Preferred: Experience mentoring relationship professionals or leading relationship management practices without necessarily having direct reports.
