This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Assist in the market introduction of new products and the optimization of existing products by evaluating reimbursement needs, risks, opportunities, and priorities.
• Provide guidance to product development, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical, and business teams on reimbursement issues.
• Contribute to product strategy, indication expansion, evidence requirements, and readiness for launch.
• Assess the reimbursement landscape in the United States and relevant international markets.
• Facilitate product development, launches, indication expansions, and management of the portfolio.
• Collaborate with HEPR colleagues to identify and resolve coding, coverage, and payment challenges.
• Deliver prompt assistance to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Analyze Medicare regulations, commercial payer policies, coding trends, and reimbursement updates.
• Communicate the implications and suggested actions to relevant audiences.
• Support advocacy strategies and prepare comments for CMS and commercial payers.
• Identify ways to improve payment and access for Pain Interventions therapies.
• Develop and present training and educational materials for sales representatives, physicians, case managers, medical directors, billing staff, and other stakeholders.
• Convert complex clinical, technical, coding, coverage, and payment information into practical content.
• Create and execute internal and external reimbursement communications, tools, resources, and content.
• Utilize approved AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance research, synthesis, drafting, workflow efficiency, and uniformity.
• Safeguard confidential information, verify outputs, and adhere to relevant policies and regulations.
• Review reimbursement information, data, policies, communications, and deliverables with meticulous attention to detail.
• Report to the Global Program Senior Director for the Pain Interventions division.
• Work independently as well as collaboratively with HEPR and cross-functional teams to enhance patient access throughout the product lifecycle.
• Bachelor’s degree in health policy, health services, health economics, epidemiology, public administration, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical reimbursement, health economics, healthcare coding, market access, or a related area.
• Strong knowledge of US reimbursement processes, coding, coverage, payment, and payer/provider dynamics.
• Experience in supporting products or therapies at various stages of commercialization, including new-product launch, market development, and legacy-product optimization, is preferred.
• Ability to analyze complex information and transform technical or specialized content into clear, concise, and actionable information for non-experts.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
• Capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Independent decision-making abilities and a collaborative spirit.
• Familiarity with approved AI tools, automation, and digital productivity technologies.
• Sound judgment in validating AI outputs and using tools responsibly and in compliance.
• Comfortable with virtual collaboration through various tools.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout the duration of employment.
• For degrees obtained outside the United States, a degree that complies with 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
