Senior Quality Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and facilitate the implementation of the Quality program across various projects or large, intricate projects.

• Create and uphold project quality plans, inspection and testing plans, deliverables, deadlines, and turnover requirements.

• Provide guidance, mentorship, training, and assistance to Quality Managers, QA/QC Inspectors, and subcontractor quality personnel.

• Promote quality performance, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure that construction activities align with IFC drawings, specifications, approved procedures, contract stipulations, and company standards.

• Supervise inquiries into non-conformance issues, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and recurring quality trends.

• Evaluate and support subcontractor quality programs to ensure alignment with company Quality Policies and Procedures.

• Manage project quality records, inspection documents, test reports, NCRs, corrective actions, and turnover packages.

• Act as a senior quality escalation point for project teams, clients, owner representatives, subcontractors, and leadership.

• Assist in pre-construction quality planning and incorporate lessons learned into the execution of future projects.

• Report to the Director of Quality and oversee Quality Managers, Site Quality Managers, QA/QC Inspectors, and designated project quality personnel.

• Collaborate closely with project, field operations, engineering, construction, owner, subcontractor, procurement, and commissioning stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of construction QA/QC experience on large commercial, industrial, utility, civil, highway/road, high voltage electrical, solar, wind, renewable energy, or EPC construction projects.

• Proven experience in managing, organizing, directing, and leading construction quality personnel is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of construction quality management for utility-scale renewable energy, civil, electrical, mechanical, high voltage, substation, or large industrial construction projects.

• Proficiency in reading, understanding, and applying IFC drawings, job specifications, contract requirements, and technical standards.

• Strong grasp of project quality plans, inspection and testing plans, NCR processes, root cause analysis, corrective action tracking, and turnover documentation.

• Capability to lead, train, and support quality personnel across various scopes or projects.

• Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting business-level quality objectives.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Smartsheet, or similar systems.

• Preferred working knowledge of construction safety, environmental compliance, SWPPP, and applicable quality standards.

• Experience in developing project quality plans, inspection and test plans, corrective action processes, and turnover documentation is preferred.

• Familiarity with SWPPP, erosion control, civil construction, electrical installation, high voltage work, substations, solar arrays, or commissioning readiness is preferred.

• Internal or external auditing experience and knowledge of ISO Quality standards is preferred.

• OSHA 10-hour minimum certification is required.

• First Aid / CPR certification is preferred.

• SWPPP training is preferred.

• ASQ, CQM, ISO Auditor, or other quality certifications are preferred.

• AI note-takers, recording devices, and real-time transcription software are prohibited during the interview.
