This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the enterprise assurance program, which includes risk-based internal-audit planning, standardized audit methodology, auditor qualification and calibration, audit reporting, and assessments of QMS effectiveness across various locations.

• Define enterprise regulatory-compliance requirements and align common regulatory controls across different sites.

• Create and sustain consistent documentation and implementation practices for shared requirements while ensuring the integrity of site-specific manuals, certificates, and procedures.

• Set standards for audit planning, execution, reporting, corrective-action follow-ups, and effectiveness verification.

• Track compliance health, audit trends, certification statuses, important findings, and systemic-risk indicators.

• Deliver reports, recommendations, and escalations to executive leadership.

• Provide enterprise oversight for AS9100, AS9110, Nadcap, customer, and applicable regulatory requirements.

• Organize certification and regulatory audit-readiness activities and assist with significant customer, certification-body, aviation-authority, and Nadcap audits.

• Analyze significant findings, escapes, and compliance events, including containment, root-cause and corrective-action quality, product-impact assessments, effectiveness verification, and cross-site learning.

• Identify and raise awareness of systemic Quality and regulatory risks to the Global VP Quality.

• Collaborate with QMS & Process Excellence, Supplier Quality, site Quality Managers, and Operations leaders to facilitate improvements.

• Cultivate and maintain a qualified internal-auditor community through coaching, calibration, and development.

• Foster relationships with Site Quality Managers and Site General Managers while acknowledging site ownership of daily Quality execution.

• Travel domestically and internationally approximately 20–30% of the time.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Quality, regulatory, manufacturing, or engineering within a complex aerospace manufacturing or maintenance setting.

• Proven experience leading internal-audit programs, certification readiness, regulatory compliance, or Quality-system assurance activities across various sites, functions, or business units.

• Strong working knowledge of AS9100 and/or AS9110, relevant customer-specific requirements, and aerospace Quality Management System principles.

• Familiarity with AS13100 is preferred.

• Experience with Nadcap requirements, audit preparation, response to findings, corrective-action effectiveness, and special-process compliance is strongly preferred.

• Knowledge of applicable aviation-authority requirements.

• Familiarity with FAA regulations is strongly preferred; knowledge of EASA, UK CAA, and other international aviation authorities is also preferred.

• Understanding of risk-based auditing, process-based auditing, root-cause analysis, CAPA, nonconformance control, management review, risk management, and regulatory-change management.

• Capability to independently evaluate compliance and process effectiveness, pinpoint systemic risks, and communicate evidence-based recommendations to senior leadership.

• Ability to influence without direct authority, lead cross-functional corrective-action initiatives, and build consensus across Site Quality, Operations, Engineering, and other business functions.

• Strong analytical, project-management, communication, and presentation skills.

• Experience working across cultures, time zones, and adapting to changing business priorities in a global organization.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Experience with QMS software, audit-management tools, ERP/MES systems, and business-intelligence tools is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Aviation, or a related technical field; equivalent relevant technical experience may be considered.

• Lead Auditor certification in AS9100 and/or AS9110 auditing is strongly preferred.

• Other relevant professional auditing certifications, such as ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, are preferred.

• Must comply with applicable U.S. export-control requirements; non-U.S. persons may require an export-control license.
