Senior QA Software Engineer, Networking

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assess architectural designs and specifications for new product features.

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of functional, performance, and security tests for software general availability and update releases.

• Create Python automation frameworks adhering to clean object-oriented programming principles.

• Examine defects and confirm fixes through thorough root-cause analysis.

• Utilize the SimX platform to verify code and troubleshoot ASICs prior to hardware arrival.

• Work closely with the R&D team to ensure feature quality from initial design to final deployment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical QA or networking experience.

• Knowledge of CCNP-equivalent protocols: L2 (VLAN, STP), L3 (BGP, OSPF), EVPN, VXLAN, PFC, ECN, RoCE, and QoS.

• Proficiency in production-quality Python programming.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.

• Practical experience with Pytest.

• Advanced Linux skills at the LPIC-1 or LPIC-2 certification level.

• Capability to navigate system internals, analyze logs, and perform effective debugging.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Professional command of written and spoken English.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with Docker and traffic generation tools (Ixia, TRex, Scapy) is a plus.

• Practical experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) is a plus.

• Familiarity with virtualization platforms (KVM, VMware) is a plus.
