Senior QA Engineer – Mobile, Web

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of the QA process and ensure release readiness for both mobile and web products.

• Collaborate with product managers and developers to establish acceptance criteria prior to the commencement of development.

• Strategically plan and implement manual, exploratory, and regression testing up to the production release stage.

• Analyze defects by utilizing logs, API responses, SQL, and pertinent application code.

• Conduct API testing with tools such as Postman and confirm system functionality across various integrations.

• Deliver QA sign-off and effectively communicate any release risks, obstacles, and recommendations.

• Coordinate or assist with user acceptance testing when necessary.

• Leverage AI-driven tools to analyze logs, create queries, and comprehend unfamiliar code.

• Contribute to the enhancement of automated test coverage over time.

• Collaborate closely with product and development teams across different time zones.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of practical software QA experience.

• At least 1 year of experience in testing React Native mobile applications.

• Proficient in testing both mobile and web applications.

• Experience managing QA for a product or feature area, encompassing regression and release-readiness contributions.

• Capability to utilize SQL for investigating and validating application data.

• Hands-on experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Comfortable reading relevant application code to comprehend behavior and pinpoint defects.

• Strong proficiency in written and verbal English, with the ability to work independently across time zones.

• Preferred: Experience in testing React web applications.

• Preferred: Background in building or maintaining automated tests or practical scripting exposure.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Jira, Bitbucket, and browser developer tools.

• Preferred: Experience working with Australian clients or employers.
