Senior QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Establish and enhance testing strategies for intricate systems and a variety of products

• Spearhead quality initiatives while adopting a hands-on approach to test automation, validation, and execution

• Create proofs of concept (PoCs), frameworks, templates, and accelerators for test automation

• Plan and carry out functional, exploratory, and non-functional testing

• Implement and sustain automation pipelines for web applications, APIs, and microservices

• Formulate strategies for performance, load, stress, and scalability testing

• Assist squads in solution design with an emphasis on quality, observability, and reliability

• Utilize Artificial Intelligence to generate scenarios, assess coverage, investigate failures, and enhance the testing lifecycle

• Establish standards, metrics, governance, and best practices for QA throughout the organization

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the SDLC and quality processes

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in defining testing strategies for complex applications

• Hands-on experience with practical knowledge in automation and quality assurance

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe

• Understanding of both functional and non-functional testing

• Experience establishing traceability between requirements, tests, and defects

• Proficient with tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail

• Skilled in using Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or Puppeteer

• Experience testing APIs utilizing Postman, Newman, REST Assured, Karate, or Pact

• Knowledge of unit, integration, contract, and end-to-end (E2E) testing

• Experience with load, stress, spike, and soak testing methodologies

• Proficient with tools like k6, JMeter, Gatling, or Locust

• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks in applications, databases, and microservices

• Experience analyzing CPU, memory, throughput, and latency metrics

• Hands-on proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Understanding of microservices and distributed architectures

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with CI/CD practices

• Knowledge of observability principles applied to testing

• Hands-on experience with Generative AI in the field of software quality assurance

• Utilization of LLMs to generate tests, synthetic data, and analyze results

• Involvement in intelligent automation projects and AI-driven productivity enhancements

• Knowledge of governance, traceability, and quality assurance for AI-based solutions

• Preferred: understanding of application security and security testing

• Preferred: experience with SAST, DAST, IAST, and Dependency Scanning techniques

• Preferred: familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, RBAC, and ABAC

• Preferred: experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Preferred: knowledge of Brazil's LGPD and data anonymization practices for testing

• Preferred: experience with FinOps in QA environments

• Preferred: experience with Developer Experience platforms

• Preferred: experience with impact analysis and intelligent test suite selection
