This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to establish quality from the outset.
• Analyze business requirements and convert them into test strategies.
• Develop, implement, and uphold test documentation and test plans.
• Conduct manual and automated exploratory, functional, acceptance, regression, and UI testing for web applications.
• Test REST and GraphQL APIs as well as backend services.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and monitor quality issues and defects.
• Lead root cause analysis alongside developers to expedite defect resolution.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and advocate for team best practices.
• Propel process enhancements to improve product quality and engineering performance.
• Incorporate testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ensure web applications meet WCAG/ADA accessibility compliance.
• Contribute to performance and security testing initiatives when applicable.
• Over 4 years of professional experience in software QA.
• In-depth knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with test design techniques and their practical application.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, client-server architecture, and APIs.
• Proven experience testing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with WCAG accessibility standards and experience with tools like Axe, Lighthouse, or screen readers.
• Experience utilizing automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Solid experience with bug tracking systems, particularly JIRA.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A collaborative mindset with a passion for high-quality, user-centered products.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and not require current or future employer visa sponsorship.
