Senior QA Automation Engineer, Network Simulation Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Simulate and assess comprehensive network architectures utilizing various network operating systems through WebUI, back-end, CLI, and shell interfaces.

• Ensure that simulation configurations and features correspond with real-world physical environments.

• Evaluate architectural designs and specifications for new product functionalities.

• Create and execute end-to-end tests for new features, including software general availability and maintenance updates.

• Document and report bugs, assist in reproducing and troubleshooting issues, verify R&D bug fixes, and escalate unresolved matters.

• Conduct regression, performance, functional, security, and various other system tests.

• Design, develop, and sustain automated tests and framework APIs using Python.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.

• Over 5 years of practical experience in Quality Assurance and/or Networking.

• Strong networking comprehension and practical experience with switching and routing.

• Excellent automation/scripting capabilities in Python and Linux Bash.

• Proficient in Python Object-Oriented Programming and experienced in writing automation for WebUI, SDK, and API using pytest and Playwright.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and carry out responsibilities autonomously.

• Committed, capable of working independently, and taking ownership of assignments.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English with confidence.

• Relevant CCNA and/or ISTQB certifications or similar qualifications.

• Advanced experience with Python automation and version control tools (Git/SVN).

• Comprehensive knowledge of Linux and the Linux kernel (LPIC-2 level).

• Familiarity with virtualization environments (Linux KVM, VMware, ESXi).
