QA Automation Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts utilizing Cypress and JavaScript.

• Create dependable and reusable automation solutions that enhance test coverage and minimize repetitive manual testing.

• Conduct functional, integration, accessibility, end-to-end, website, and mobile testing.

• Assess application functionality, content, links, images, integrations, and the overall user experience across various environments.

• Take charge of QA activities within an Agile development team, recognizing risks and ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Document, report, and track defects using tools like Jira or Xray.

• Analyze test outcomes to detect patterns, recurring issues, and opportunities for enhancing the testing process.

• Collaborate with developers to grasp functionality, troubleshoot issues, and pinpoint areas that require additional testing.

• Continuously expand and optimize automated test coverage as products and features develop.

• Communicate testing progress, results, defects, and potential risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Utilize AI-assisted tools to expedite test authoring, identify additional test scenarios, and support exploratory testing.

• Contribute to testing strategies for products that may encompass AI-generated content, LLMs, or agentic workflows.

• Operate within an Agile, international, distributed technology team with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in web application testing.

• Strong experience in designing and writing automated tests using JavaScript and Cypress or comparable automation frameworks.

• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing best practices, and the software development lifecycle.

• Experience with manual, functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.

• Proficient in documenting and managing defects using Jira, Xray, or similar tools.

• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to build reliable tests using maintainable structures, reusable components, and robust selectors.

• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to product quality and user experience.

• Ability to independently manage QA priorities and take ownership of quality within an Agile team.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the capability to convey QA findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience with accessibility testing.

• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted tools to aid in test authoring or QA workflows.

• Availability to collaborate with distributed international teams, including working overlap.

• Experience in building or maintaining scalable test automation frameworks.

• Familiarity with BrowserStack, Axe, Postman, GraphQL, or Firebase.

• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD workflows.

• Background in agency, consultancy, startup, or other fast-paced delivery environments.

• Familiarity with testing AI-powered products or non-deterministic systems.

• Experience with LLM evaluation tools such as LangSmith, PromptFoo, or custom evaluation pipelines.

• Familiarity with golden datasets, regression testing for prompt changes, or LLM-as-judge approaches.

• Advanced English proficiency.

• Contract duration of 6 months.
