Senior QA Automation Engineer, JavaScript/TypeScript

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive QA support throughout the entire application lifecycle within a dynamic deployment environment.

• Conduct functional, UI, regression, and end-to-end testing for web applications and newly launched features.

• Validate transactional workflows and payment integrations, with a strong emphasis on e-commerce and payment-related processes.

• Test and validate Point of Sale (POS) integrations, ensuring data synchronization and operational workflows are effective.

• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams for data validation, backend verification, and ETL-related testing efforts.

• Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites utilizing Selenium along with JavaScript or TypeScript.

• Carry out API testing, database validation, and troubleshoot data-centric workflows.

• Participate in release validation while proactively identifying risks, obstacles, and quality-related concerns.

• Contribute to the QA process, enhance automation coverage, and improve deployment reliability.

• Function effectively in lean, collaborative environments demonstrating adaptability and ownership.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in Software QA and test automation.

• Significant hands-on experience with Selenium and JavaScript or TypeScript for web automation testing.

• Proven experience in functional, regression, UI, and end-to-end testing across modern web applications.

• Practical experience in testing e-commerce platforms, payment workflows, and third-party integrations.

• Experience in testing payment gateways or transactional workflows; familiarity with Stripe is advantageous.

• Strong comprehension of API testing, backend validation, and database verification workflows.

• Experience in close collaboration with engineering and data teams in Agile or Kanban settings.

• Ability to swiftly adapt to changing priorities and fast-paced operational demands.

• Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

• Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Experience testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) implementations or similar enterprise CMS platforms.

• Experience in validating ETL pipelines, backend data flows, or data integrity processes.

• Familiarity with Cypress or Playwright.

• Previous experience in startup settings or lean, high-growth teams.

• Experience collaborating with Data Engineering teams to support data-centric validation initiatives.

• Experience with POS systems or retail/hospitality transactional platforms.

• Strong sense of ownership with the ability to work independently and proactively.

• Experience in contributing to QA process enhancements and discussions surrounding automation strategy.
