Senior QA Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Qatar, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead quality engineering initiatives for an advanced Workforce Management and Customer Experience platform.

• Take ownership of test automation throughout the entire test pyramid, encompassing unit, component, integration, contract, end-to-end, and performance testing.

• Create, develop, and sustain automated test frameworks utilizing Playwright and/or Cypress, JUnit, and contemporary test automation methodologies.

• Construct and implement automated test suites for unit, component, integration, contract, API, end-to-end, and regression testing.

• Manage component and integration testing of microservices, ensuring service behavior, data flows, and API contracts are validated.

• Design and conduct performance and load tests to assess scalability, throughput, and response times during peak contact-center volumes.

• Develop and automate test scenarios for Workforce Management features, including forecasting, schedule generation, and scheduling rules and constraints.

• Seamlessly integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Collaborate with developers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders to establish acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.

• Examine defects, determine root causes, and promote quality enhancements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Set quality engineering standards, reusable automation components, and testing strategies across various product lines.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience in QA Automation.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing component and integration test suites for Java microservices.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot Test, Testcontainers, WireMock, and REST Assured.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Playwright and/or Cypress using TypeScript or JavaScript.

• Knowledge of contract testing, including Pact or Spring Cloud Contract.

• Experience with performance and load testing tools and methodologies, such as JMeter, Gatling, or k6.

• Background in testing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.

• Experience with testing Workforce Management forecasting and scheduling engines or other sophisticated rule-based business systems.

• Proven track record of integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with Contact Center, CX, CCaaS, Routing, or Voice platforms is a plus.

• Understanding of telephony, IVR, call flows, agent routing, and customer interaction systems is beneficial.
